Why laundry uptime matters in a care facility
In a care setting, laundry never really stops. Bedding, towels, gowns and personal clothing come down in a steady stream, and your staff build their day around wash and dry schedules. When one washer goes down, the rest of the room has to absorb its loads, and the backlog grows by the hour.
Your infection-control routines depend on machines that fill, heat, agitate and dry the way they are supposed to. A washer that short-fills or a dryer that runs cool doesn't just slow things down. It forces staff to rewash, rerun or send linens out, all of which costs time your team would rather spend with residents.
Families notice, too. Missing clothing, scratchy rewashed linens and towels that come back damp tend to show up in conversations with administrators. Keeping the machines reliable is one of the quieter ways a facility protects resident comfort and its reputation. We work with care facilities across the Las Vegas Valley to keep that equipment running.

Common failures on heavy-use on-premise equipment
On-premise laundry equipment in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities runs long days with full, heavy loads. Wet bedding and bath linens put real strain on bearings, belts and door hardware. These are the problems we see most often.
Washer won't drain or extract
Drain valves stick or clog with lint, hair and small items that make it into the load. When extraction weakens, linens come out heavy and wet, and drying time climbs across the whole room.
Door won't lock or unlock
Door locks and switches cycle many times a day. A worn lock can stop a machine from starting or trap a finished load inside. Please don't bypass the lock; it is there to protect your staff.
Bearing noise and vibration
Repeated heavy loads wear out washer bearings and seals. A growing rumble during extract, or water at the rear of the machine, is usually the early warning.
Dryer not heating or overheating
On gas dryers we check igniters, flame sensors, gas valves and burners. On any dryer, a lint-choked chamber or exhaust makes the machine run hot, trip its high-limit and stretch cycles.
Slow fill and hard-water scale
Las Vegas water is very hard, and it leaves scale on inlet valves and screens. A slow-filling washer may finish its cycle without enough water to rinse properly.

Lint, exhaust and fire safety
High-volume drying produces a lot of lint, and lint is fuel. Facility laundry rooms often have long exhaust runs, especially in multistory buildings, and those ducts collect lint faster than most people expect. Restricted airflow makes dryers work harder, run hotter and wear out heating parts sooner.
We clean lint chambers inside the cabinet, test exhaust airflow and look at the duct runs serving your dryers. Our dryer vent cleaning page covers what duct cleaning involves. Staff can help between visits by clearing lint screens every cycle and reporting any burning smell right away.

Scheduled around your facility's routine
We know you can't shut the laundry room for a day. When you book, tell us the hours your staff run the heaviest loads and the windows when a machine can be taken out of service. We plan the visit around that as best we can and work on one machine at a time so the others keep running.
Most visits are booked within 1–2 business days. We are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Our techs check in at the front desk and follow your visitor procedures.
If several machines need attention, list them all when you call. We would rather plan for the full job than fix one dryer and leave a struggling washer for another trip. Before we leave, we run each repaired machine through a cycle and walk your laundry lead through what we found.
Preventive maintenance for care facilities
Preventive visits catch the slow failures that take a machine down at the worst time: a fraying belt, a door boot starting to tear, scale on an inlet screen, a weak igniter. Each visit ends with a written note of what we found, which gives your maintenance director a clear record of the equipment's condition.
Facilities with heavy daily volume usually do best with monthly service, while smaller assisted living homes may only need quarterly visits. Plans are quoted per site based on machine count and frequency. Learn more on our laundry equipment maintenance plans page.

“We use Las Vegas laundry repair whenever things go sideways with our appliances. Fast, friendly, price-conscious, and efficient services provided by Kevin and his staff. Couldn't ask for more...if you need service, there's nowhere else you need look. Thanks, LVLR!!!”
“Several washers and dryers at my laundromat were having issues I couldn't figure out, so I sent in an inquiry describing what we were running into. Kevin responded quickly and scheduled an appointment ASAP to come out and troubleshoot. Once he found the problem, he quoted me a very fair price. He completed the work, and the machines have been running perfectly ever since. I've since hired them to handle regular maintenance on all of my machines and card readers. They were efficient and super kind. Highly recommend!”
